2008-09-29 phlyMail 3.6 Build 3.6.33 released

This build fixes a bug when exporting contacts. When a group to export had been selected, this selection was ignored and all contacts exported instead.

The build is available in the usual places (AutoUpdate and update archives).

2008-08-30 phlyMail 4 Beta3 Build 3.9.65 released

This build fixes the following problems:
- New mails in IMAP folders are marked as read although they aren't
- The AJAX address search fails in email compose and SMS compose windows
- Folders being favourites but getting deleted make the favourite folder list disappear
- when searching for contacts, you get logged out
- the search type selection dropdown is empty
- IMAP Inbox folders cannot be (un)subscribed

The largest fix indeed is, that phlyMail now supports IMAP through self written code instead of relying on ext/imap compiled into PHP or third party code from the Zend Framework.
Additionally we added support for the IMAP AUTH methods CRAM-SHA256 and CRAM-SHA1.

Unfortunately this build still is NOT compatible with Internet Explorer.

Important: The addon themes CleanOrange and Amplified have been changed, too and should be updated as well on manual update.

2008-04-16 phlyMail 3.6 Build 3.6.29 released

This build fixes some minor bugs (SMS sending and installation routine) and improves the handling of the templates. It is available in the usual places (Lite on the product page under downloads, MessageCenter via customer service and AutoUpdate) and as always in the formats .zip, .tar.gz and .tar.bz2.

2008-03-26 phlyMail 4 Beta3 Build 3.9.61 released

We have just released a new beta build, which fixes many of the bugs from the previous betas. Additionally we have added many new things, way too many to mention them all here.

Grab your copy in the usual places.

We still recommend, to keep any running phlyMail 3 intact and install the beta build in a different place to prevent loss of data.

2008-03-17 Changes in our portfolio

As of March 17th, 2008 the following changes in our portfolio will be made.

Personal Edition

We no longer sell and maintain this product. All customers, who have bought a licence for it, will be upgraded for free to MessageCenter. The upgrade can be done automatically by running the AutoUpdater or manually by downloading and installing the CORE build from the customer service under http://phlymail.com/en/service/. Afterwards you should manually activate the additional modules.

MessageCenter

To fill the price gap the basis price for the MessageCenter will be massively reduced - instead of ?79.95 it is now ?39.95.

Lite

As of today the modules formerly liable for costs - calendar and files manager - are included for free.

Hosting Edition

Information about this new product will be made available in the next few days.

2008-02-16 phlyMail 3 build 3.6.22 released

We have just released a new build of phlyMail 3. It fixes the following problems:
- Back port of the faster folder index check for IMAP folders from phlyMail 4. This increases the indexing speed by factor 30(!) and more
- If GZip is active in the front end, all AJAX calls now get compressed, too. This should generally increase the front end's speed
- Fix in the SMTP class, which now behaves much more standards compliant
- Support for TLS in the SMTP layer
- Experimental support for AUTH CRAM-SHA1 and AUTH CRAM-SHA256 in POP3 and SMTP layers
- much better handling of inline emails

The build is available through the AutoUpdater as well as installable and update archives in the usual place.

2008-01-19 phlyMail 4 Beta2 Build 3.9.57 released

We have just released build 3.9.57. Changes to the previous build are as follows:
- various small bug fixes
- added import / export of Outlook holiday files (extension .hol)
- Holidays are marked accordingly in the calendar
- vast speed improvements on checking the local cache against IMAP folders - on large folders this can be 30 times faster or even more!
- faster AJAX communication between frontend and server - when PHP has been compiled with GZip support
Therefore you have to activate the "use bandwidth saving compression" switch in the Config interface.

Unfortunately Internet Explorer still has problems with the new interface. Other browsers such as Firefox, Safari or Opera are not affected.

This build is available through the usual sources - AutoUpdate or download of a build suitable to your needs.

2007-12-06 phlyMail 4 Beta Build 3.9.54 released [Update]

We have just released phlyMail 4 Beta build 3.09.53. It is available via AutoUpdater as well as in the usual places as installable and Core archives. We still recommend not to overwrite an existing 3.x installation with this build!

Fixed bugs after installation:
- 404 when double clicking a mail
- Previews could no longer be deactivated
- creating an admin was no longer possible
- wrong initialization of the permissions after login

New features / changes in this build:
- day view of the calendar better follows the theme
- past appointments are now displayed semi transparent
- edit button in preview of contacts
- print view for contacts
- Config-API now can create IMAP profiles, too
- "Download file from URL" in files manager ("My files")
- users manager allows to define permissions for users
- new ExtAuth filter CSV
- mail accounts are ordered by name

There's still issues with Internet Explorer. This is probably caused by the complexity of the Javascript.
We are still working on a fix!

[Update]: Build 3.9.54 should fix a bug, which prevented a fresh install due to wrongly stored MySQL data.
