Hi, have been using phlymail lite and enjoying it for a while now. I thought I'd register for the autoupdate key, which I did and copied in to the correct place. If I go to the autoupdate tab in the config.php, my current version is identified and the new version is identifed as being available. Then I click 'update' and very quickly it says its done, but it hasn't and the old version is still installed. Any ideas anyone please?

Please check file permissions thoroughly. Each and every file and folder of your installation should be writeable by PHP. Most probably the system user of the server you uploaded the files with originally is different to the one, PHP runs under. The latter is usually the same as the Apache system user.

Thanks for that, what file/directory read/write properties am I looking for please - is 777 too open

The least possible... Please ask your hosting provider, what they recommend to use for maximum security.
