<a href="http://phlymail.de/en/phlymail/lite/download/" target="_blank">http://phlymail.de/en/phlymail/lite/download/</a> and (for Personal Edition / MessageCenter) the Customer Service as installable or core build.<br><br>Changes / bug fixes / new functions in this version:
- Small fix in the AutoUpdater regarding the order of path clean-up.
- Contacts now may be imported into a certain group.
- Contacts can now be made public, being private is still the default. Publicly visible contacts of a user are visible to all other users of your installation but cannot be changed by them.
- After sending an SMS the whole application window does not get reloaded any longer.
- Quotas: You might now define global and user level quotas. User level quotas will always override globally defined ones. You might define:
- Number of emails
- Number of user defined folders
- Overall size of a user's mailbox
- Number of contacts
- Number of contact groups
- Number of events
- Templates now get cached, which should speed up some of the display operations.
- The cache for mails known to be stored in a certain mailbox no longer gets stored in the file system but in the database instead. This should eliminate the problems with multiple processes accessing the same cache file simultaneously and those with larger mailboxes.
- Problems with mailto: links in mails got fixed.
- Support for mail templates. The necessary folder gets created on first use automatically.
- Mail drafts get deleted after sending them and no longer stay in the Drafts folder.
- Added the missing functionality to send addresses from mails to the address book.
- Mail headers References: and In-Reply-To: now get written properly to outgoing mails.
- For profiles with the option set "Leave mails on server" there's now the additional option available "Delete on server when deleted locally".
- Over-long header lines (namely To: and Cc:) could lead to script time-outs, so they get truncated appropriately. The original header lines are still available through "View all headers".
- Improved the date parser to properly handle buggy date header fields.
- The system folders (Inbox, Sent, Junk, etc.) can now be pointed to any known folder on profile level. Exception: The system folder "INBOX" of IMAP accounts.<br>If there's no individually defined folder given, phlyMail will try to always use the appropriate system folder, which is the one on the IMAP server for IMAP profiles and the one under "Local folders" for POP3. Does an IMAP server miss the relevant folder, phlyMail will try to create it and use it for subsequent operations.
- Users can now (un)subscribe individual folders of an IMAP profile. The subscribe browser is available in the folder properties of the root node
of an IMAP profile (which is the folder with the name of the IMAP profile). - If an IMAP account is temporarily unavailable (e.g. connection problems), the folder structure of that account will be marked accordingly and hidden in the folder list. In this case phlyMail will forgo to delete the now unavailable folders from the database as it did before.
- Folder export: local folders can now be exported in the format .mbox to import the mails into another email programme or manually backup the folder. Until release of 3.5.0 we will also offer a command line tool to import MBOX files into folders of a certain user.
- Keyboard short cuts: Essential functions of folder list, contact list and folder view are now available via short cuts. We tried our best to use short cuts being logical and intuitive, which we might have failed to do, since there's so many different short cuts used in different programmes. The ones currently assigned can be <a href="http://phlymail.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1238" target="_blank">found here</a>.
- Many functions of phlyMail can now be linked to directly. Users will be prompted to login and then forwarded to the requested function, which was not possible before, since logging in always lead to the whole application being spawned in the browser window.
- All mails in one folder: Clicking the folder "Local folders" now lists all mails, phlyMail has in its index, regardless of the folder they are in. This allows to easily search mails anywhere in the index without manually iterating through alle the folders, repeating the same search over and over again.
- Small change to the login: It could happen, that having the login screen open for a longer period of time and then logging in lead to login failure due to a timed out PHP session. Now the one time pad to securely transmit the login data is requested just after submitting the login form.
- Unlimited number of signatures: Up to this build, the signature was a property of a profile, but now they are stored independently of them. This means a small change in the database structure, since the signatures are now stored in their own database table. There's a slight chance, that while transferring the signatures from the profiles into their new home the profiles might lose their assigned signature. Please point your users to ths and advise them to manually check their profiles for missing signatures.
- General clean-up of the whole application removing some old oddities and minor bugs.
