PHlyMail 3.3.0 released

Postby mso » 27.02.2006 02:04

With this build we officially release PHlyMail 3.3. This release fixes some more bugs and introduces a few new features.

New features
  • Users can now choose, wether they prefer the HTML version or plain text version of an email to show.
  • Dropdown menus disappear after 1s, if nothing is selected and the mouse pointer is moved outside the menu.
  • Mails and folders can be deleted immediately by holding down the shift key on deletion. This ommits the dust bin.
  • Mails can get marked with a colour. This works via context menu and filtering rules as well.
  • The mail fetcher popup has been fully integrated into the main window thus preventing the popup from regularly gaining the focus of the operating system.
  • Fetching mails from IMAP servers now also apllies filtering rules. This is true for the forntend and the backend fetcher as well.
  • The "Forgot my password" function is now available to admins, too.
Bugs fixed since 3.02.11:
  • A few problems with profile editors were fixed as well as a few other Javascript / AJAX fixes.
  • The search result list on searching the database for contacts blocked the cursor keys in the mail body even after closing the result list again.
  • Adding attachments to mails sometimes failed in Internet Explorer.
Please pay attention when installing the update:
  • Please remove the folders frontend/themes/Classic/FCKeditor and frontend/themes/ClassicPlus/FCKeditor and the file backend/pop3.fetcher.php from your installation.
  • When using the backend fetcher process, please replace it's entry with email.fetcher.php in the crontab.
  • Don't forget to call the login screen of the Config interface after applying the update to allow any necessary database fixes to occur.

PHlyMail Lite is available in the usual location, PHlyMail Personal Edition and MessageCenter have been published to the customer service area.

As usual, the builds are packed as fully installable and Core builds for easier updates in the formats ZIP, BZip2 and GZip.
