Problem sending emails

Postby fbonani » 03.05.2011 22:59

Finally got version 4.1.3 installed and have been able to add a user which finally got me to the actual application. I believe that I have set up the POP3 and smtp settings correctly, but when I try to send an email, I get the following error msg at the top of the send window: "Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /hermes/bosweb/web199/b1997/ipw.fredswebp/phlymail/handlers/core/compose.email.php on line 105" and the email is not sent.

In addition, I am not receiving any emails. i am using the email settings to my webhost where my account is being hosted. any help would be much appreciated.

As an update, I have been able to send and receive emails so that problem has been resolved. The error msg noted in the previous post appears on the screen used when composing an email, however the email is being sent and received at the other end. I don't know whether the error msg impacts something else that has not shown up as yet. Thanks for your help in getting the script going.

Fred,

you should just disable error reporting in the backend. Login to the config.php as administrator, got to system settings and select "no" for error reporting. Check the settings for your user, too.

Once error reporting is disabled the message should go away. It is actually nothing to worry about.

I have disabled error reporting in the back end using config.php but can't find where to disable it for the user.

Go to users management, click your user in the list, scroll down, where you find the section "Debugging", in the dropdown besides "Reporting of errors:" select "No". Then save. That's it.
