Quotas File uploads

Postby fbonani » 03.05.2011 19:16

I have been having problems loading the following three files to my webhost (ipower.com), setup.quota.edituser.tpl and setup.quota.main.tpl from the config/templates directory. I was having the same trouble uploading the setup.quotas.php file from the config directory however, my webhost's file manager allowed me to upload that file. The File Manager does not allow tpl files to be uploaded however and even though I was able to upload one of the tpl files after changing the extension to php, it won't let me change the extension back again to tpl. Needless to say, I can't make any changes to the quotas module in the admin section.

I have also been having troubles logging in to the user, as it will not accept either the username or password, even though the user is identified in the database. Any suggestions will be much appreciated as it appears this is the email program I have been looking for.

First things first :)

Regarding your issue with logging in: Please update your installation to build 4.01.03. Afterwards go to the users management, edit your user and once set a new password. Unfortunately there has been a flaw in the routine for storing passwords, which lead to completely useless password hashes. This has been addressed with the aforementioned build.

There is really nothing, we can do to fix that. Please talk to your web hosting provider. I guess, there's something wrong with a filtering software, which allegedly tries to filter out bad stuff but is set too tight.

Thanks for the response. I have downloaded the most recent version of the script (4.1.3) and am waiting to see if my webhost can help me upload the two tpl files into the config/templates folder. Up to this point, we have been able to upload the files with a different name, but it will not let me rename the file back to the required name. Is there any other way that you know of that might help me get around this. Assuming that I can get the files uploaded and renamed, would I need to overwrite them with the files in 4.1.3 version or just leave them alone?

Please, please sort out the file naming problem first before attempting to do anything else.

This is serious! I wonder how a web hosting provider can get along with such a crazy issue.

Well, if you could - for now - live without setting quotas, you could just ignore it and try to get the application running anyway.

OK, I got the tpl files uploaded and will now upload the newest version of the script. I am going to start from scratch, create a new database etc. I will let you know the results. Thanks for your help to this point. I know it is after 9 PM where you are and will hopefully have this uploaded in the next hour or so. My upload speed is not that great.
