Update Index process does not end

Hi Mattheas, how are you?
From time to time the program gets stuck in the update index mode for hours.
During this time no incoming mail comes through. Lately it started happening more often.
I'm constantly having to log out and log back in to break that process.
I've recently run the re-indexing utility from the tool box, just in case, but it had no effect on this problem.
Any ideas?

thanks, I'm fine.

Hopefully you are using the latest revision of phlyMail. Today that's 4.3.1. I assume, we are talking about IMAP folders, where the throughput and thus speed of the indexing mechanism depends on folder size (number of mails), server speeds and connection bandwidth. Try archiving mails or at least sorting them into individual folders, so that the IMAP folders accessed more often are of a more handy size.

The reindexer is purely meant for misinterpreted mails and was once created for the mails gathered via POP3. It is not meant to aid the folder indexing in IMAP accounts.
